Hi I'm Kate, a 36 year old mum to 3 beautiful but crazy children and wife to an equally crazy husband! We live in Hampshire, England with our 2 cats. As mentioned I have three children, my eldest Libby-Rose is 8 going on 15, Casey just turned 4 and Jessie is 18 months and they are the inspiration behind...well everything really!

I don't know about you but I lost a lot of myself when I had children. Suddenly I was a mum, a cleaner, a maid, a waiter, a chef, a taxi driver as well as a business owner and wife, juggling lots of balls and usually dropping them all over the place!

In October 2021, after following all year @rivers_pure_imagination on Instagram ( my contact at a ribbon supplier for my family business that I'd never met but had chatted through email and admired all the play that she did with her daughter River) I took the leap and fell straight into the #sensoryplay world. Quickly I became almost addicted to creating play setups for Casey and found that in doing these I was finding a little bit of me again.

A complete novice

I was a complete newbie to the Instagram world and had no idea that there was a whole community of mums, childminders, teachers out there that had so much creative and artistic talent. Over the past year I have enjoyed finding new people to follow, small businesses to support and found a bunch of amazing ladies that have become my friends (although we are yet to meet!) Most importantly and why I have created this blog, I also started a business in the play world named Pop's Creative Play. A subscription based business providing craft play kits with wooden crafts but also collaborating with small businesses that I had found on Instagram to give a complete sensory small world play kit.
